About the FA Primary Teachers' Award course

Throughout the FA Primary Teachers' Award course, FA tutors will highlight the importance of high quality PE in order to develop confidence, self-esteem and belief amongst children and raise academic achievement across other school subjects. Participants will gain a really useful resource booklet and a recognised FA qualification.

Content includes

  • games based around movement skills for 5–11 year olds

  • invasion games linked to the PE Purpose of Study at KS1 and KS2

  • ways to embed differentiation and assessment in to your lessons

  • guidance for those teachers who might run a school team

Audience

This course is applicable for both those primary teachers and HTLAs who wish to build on their existing PE knowledge and those with little confidence of PE or football. It is relevant for both new and experienced staff.  Lunch is not provided so delegates are advised to bring a packed lunch.

Previous participants say...

"This course is fantastic and gave me a deeper insight into PE as a whole, not just football. We had some quality conversations about the practicalities of PE in a schools and I’ve gained so many tips. I would highly recommend."
Year 5 teacher

"Very insightful, plenty of ideas for differentiation.  It was great to see how to build skills over a session and was entirely adaptable to all year groups.  This has really boosted my confidence".
