Why attend?
To make a real difference to some of our most vulnerable pupils, a whole-school approach to SEND needs to be adopted so that provision is ‘built-in, not bolt-on’.  This session will consider the role of every leader in ensuring effective provision and impact.

What are the aims of the session?

  • To consider why a whole-school SEND approach is important
  • To develop effective ways of monitoring and evaluating the   impact of SEND provision across the school
  • To consider practical ways of leaders working together to develop a strategic approach to SEND

What will the session cover?

  • The roles and responsibilities of the SENCO and other leaders
  • The use of key strategic tools for SEND
  • The Education Inspection Framework and SEND
  • Practical ways to monitor and evaluate SEND provision and outcomes

Who should attend?

The session is aimed at SENCOs and other senior or middle leaders in the school who have a responsibility for inclusion, teaching and learning or provision.
