These sessions will focus on improving primary teachers’ mathematical subject knowledge to enable them to develop a deeper, more connected understanding of the three key strands within the primary maths curriculum.
This development will enhance their ability to teach and support pupils effectively, through enhanced pedagogical knowledge.
In the sessions, teachers will explore maths in depth, making connections between topics and concepts focussing on developing the three curriculum aims for all children. Participants will be expected to complete gap tasks such as trialling activities with groups of children and planning updated sessions based on the training.
All sessions 1pm – 4pm
