Reasoning in KS2 Mathematics
Places are strictly limited and we anticipate very high demand
(Tuesday 5th February 2019 date - NOW SOLD OUT)
This day will show teachers and subject leaders how reasoning can be embedded in all KS2 maths lessons. You will explore how equipment, images and bar modelling can be used to build conceptual understanding. A range of techniques for engaging children in rich mathematical discussions are shared and you will consider strategies for improving attitudes to maths.
Lots of exciting games and resources will be shared, giving teachers the tools to deepen mathematical learning on a daily basis. This will include how the ‘I See Reasoning’ ebook can be used to extend learning in all areas of the KS2 maths curriculum.

“My practical training helps to give teachers the knowledge, skills and resources to transform this vision into a classroom reality. Training focuses on improving children's attitudes to maths, showing concepts visually and providing children with extended, challenging learning experiences. I'm a teaching Assistant Head, so the ideas for I See Maths are all born and trialed in my own classroom. I still enjoy the challenge of teaching my own class! My training is accredited as holding the NCETM CPD Standard.”
